I watched Submarine yesterday, and it was even better than I expected. The odd transitions, extensions of the 180 degree rule, and unusual narrative of a very unusual character. Very French New Wave inspired. Loved everything about it. First thing I did when I finished the movie was look up the soundtrack and now I can’t stop listening to it.

Over the past few weeks I have been diligently, but quietly, working on a music video for a musician that I’ve become a big fan of, Michael Kiwanuka. Around 5am last night I finally finished it and submitted my work to his contest. My goal was to put a unique twist to your average music video, and I feel fairly confident in the final result (or at least more so than I usually do with my videos.)
